Metal Working Products


DeFOREST manufactures several surfactants used in metal working applications such as soluble oils, semi-synthetic, and synthetic fluids. These surfactants are multifunctional and supply additional performance attributes including lubricity, corrosion protection, hydrotroping, and demulsification. They also find utility in metal cleaning and other hard surface cleaning applications.

DePHOS HP-739: A 100% active, oil soluble phosphate ester recommended for use in oil soluble metal working lubricants. When neutralized to pH 8 -10 with amines, it provides lubricity, emulsification, and corrosion protection in aqueous based synthetic or semi-synthetic cutting fluids. DePHOS HP-739 offers multifunctional properties including the ability to reduce extreme pressure, surface tension, and coefficient of friction. Contains 13% phosphorus.

DePHOS P-6LF-AS: A 99% active, low foaming, water soluble lubricant for use in synthetic and semi-synthetic cutting fluids and other water-based lubricants. Excellent hydrotrope for use in alkaline formulations.

DeTERIC ODP-LF: Very low-foaming amphoteric surfactant that has the ability to readily demulsify tramp oils. Excellent hydrotrope for alkaline or acidic formulations. Additional details are available on our Demulsifying web page.

DeCORE APCI-95, DeCORE IMT-100LF, DeTROPE CA-100, and DeCORE BE-85: Very effective, low foaming, water soluble corrosion inhibitors for use in alkaline systems. Please refer to our Corrosion Inhibitors page for more information on these products.
